Our Policies on Scheduled Appointments

Early Arrival

We encourage you to come to our clinic 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This gives you time to check in and update us about your insurance information. Your early arrival helps us assist you more thoroughly before you go see our dermatologist.

Delays

Our staff does their best to respect our patients’ precious time. However, patient emergencies occur sometimes, which causes unintended setbacks in the office schedule. When this happens, we will do our best to keep you updated about the delay.

No-Shows

We need to be notified at least a day before your scheduled visit if you’re unable to attend your appointment. If we do not receive any calls to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you will be considered a no-show. Repeat no-show patients may be fined to compensate for our loss of time and income.

A Few Reminders When Visiting Our Clinic

  • Always bring a valid ID and your insurance card to every visit.
  • We require a credit card (not debit) to be left on file for delinquent charges.
  • Any patient under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Turn off your cell phone when you’re called back to see the physician.
  • Do not bring any food or drinks in the waiting room.
  • Read our Office and Financial Policy Form carefully during your visit.

Payment Options

Insurance

Our clinic accepts most major plans that cover dermatological services. We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company before setting an appointment to confirm coverage of your insurance policy.

Co-payments must be paid via cash, check, or credit card at the time of your visit. If you’re unable to pay your co-payment, we request that you reschedule your appointment to a later date.

Full Payment

Uninsured patients must pay in full through cash, check, or credit card on the day of the appointment. We will add a $25 fee to your bill if we receive a returned check from you.

For patients who set an appointment for cosmetic treatments, these services are not covered by insurance. Therefore, payment is also needed on the day of your visit.

Credit Card On File

Credit Card On File (CCOF) is the new standard in the healthcare industry nationwide. To avoid any issues of discrimination or favoritism; all patients will be required to have a credit card on file regardless of insurance or visit type. You will not be charged unless you fail to pay your account balance after 60 days and receiving 2 statements in the mail. If you choose not to keep a card on file you will be responsible for all patient charges at the time of the visit.
